    What We Provide at AirCARE1

AirCARE1 is a leading air ambulance company based in both Albuquerque, New Mexico and Deer Valley, Arizona. In such close proximity to Glendale, we are a top choice for both residents and visitors of Glendale alike.

AirCARE1 is licensed as a critical care and specialty care air ambulance provider whose medical team members include highly trained critical care nurses, paramedics, doctors, and respiratory therapists.

Two medical specialists are selected for each flight to ensure the patient has the specific care and attention they need. Selections for medical staff are made according to the patients’ particular health needs and ages. In addition to conventional treatments within their specialties, these professionals administer holistic therapies to help reduce the stress of the patient.

The aircraft that we use to transport patients from hospital to hospital are high-performance Learjets that provide a smooth ride, luxurious interiors and state-of-the-art critical care medical equipment.

    Our State-of-the-Art Medical Equipment

AirCARE1 is able to treat the most fragile of patients through state-of-the-art medical equipment, which matches that of the most progressive hospitals. We utilize Zoll Propaq MD monitors, Alaris pumps, and LTV 1200 ventilators. Neonate Isolletes, med fusion pumps, and Cross Vent 21 Ventilators are used to treat infants. Our planes are also equipped with NICU incubators and medical level 3 NICUs for the little ones.

AirCARE1 created a unique two-part system, called the Patient Care Delivery System, that ensures the safe and efficient loading and unloading of passengers.

The first part involves special mechanical ramps that help the crew members to safely load and unload even the heaviest patients. With AirCARE1, your loved one will not have to experience tipping, tilting, and wobbling of the stretcher whenever he or she is being lifted into or off of aircraft, as might be experienced with manual lifting. Manual lifting can be dangerous for specific types of patients. Additionally, oxygen tanks and other equipment can roll off of tilting stretchers as well. To prevent these types of issues, we have a mechanical loading ramp that handles patient transfers with ease.

The second part of our loading system involves aircraft doors that are 30 percent wider than most other air ambulance aircraft doors. This feature allows extra-large bariatric patients to load our aircraft with ease. This combination of our special loading ramps and the extra-wide doors on our aircraft enables us to safely and efficiently transport all types of patients to where they need to be with minimal stress to patients and their families.

AirCARE1 has also created the LifePort Patient Care System, which involves:

    • Four-inch-thick mattress pads
    • Monitor brackets for stretchers
    • Adjustable knee lifts

While most air ambulance services transport patients on two-inch-thick mattress pads, risk dropping monitors and other equipment in the process of loading or unloading and utilize stretchers that inadvertently shift during takeoff and landing, our LifePort Patient Care System addresses all of these issues.

Four-inch mattress pads bring more cushion than typical air ambulance stretchers do. Brackets keep monitors from falling or moving around, thus eliminating stress. Adjustable knee lifts prevent movement on stretchers upon takeoff and landing. The lifts also make patients feel more comfortable during flights of a longer duration.

    Commercial Medical Escort Services

Sometimes people are injured or become very ill when they are traveling or are on vacation. They need medical care, but are in a stable condition and are able to board a commercial flight under medical supervision. The patient may want to be treated in their own country or state and simply are in need of medically supervised transportation home by a company that understands the international and domestic commercial airlines. In these cases, where a dedicated air ambulance may not be needed, we are happy to offer a trained medical staff member of AirCARE1 to accompany the patient on a commercial flight. Our Commitment to Safety and Training

Safety is a top priority at AirCARE1. Our Patient Loading Utility System provides safe loading and unloading of patients through our unique mechanical ramps and through the use of aircraft that feature extra-wide doors.

We considered safety when we selected the aircraft model that we wanted to use for our medical transportation services. The Learjet has proven to be one of the safest small aircraft in the air ambulance industry.

Our training is extensive. In fact, we require our employees to have more training than any other air ambulance company requires. We require extensive initial training, continuing education, and annual trauma training. We also offer pharmacology, pulmonary, neurological, and anatomy, physiology and assessment training.

Just the initial training involves classes in flight orientation, skills lab, intubations, HAZMAT, survival, quality management, in-flight medical emergencies, aircraft orientation and safety, air medical resource management, fatigue factors, stressors of flight, flight physiology, patient loading and unloading procedures, and patient assessment.

The pilots we hire must have flown at least 3,000 hours before we even consider them. After a pilot joins the AirCARE1 team, they are required to go through critical care training that will help them work seamlessly with the with medical personnel onboard.

    Our Rare Dual Accreditation

Rare in our industry is dual accreditation, but AirCARE1 is proud to be accredited by both the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems and the European Air Medical Institute. Dual accreditation demonstrates our commitment to providing excellent patient care at the highest level of air ambulance standards.

Also noteworthy is the fact that we are a preferred provider for the International Assistance Group and are only the second U.S. provider to be selected.

    Our Focus on Holistic Care

Our medical care does not stop with superior traditional medical care and transportation. AirCARE1 professionals also administer holistic treatments that create peace of mind and a reduction of the stress and anxiety that air ambulance patients may experience. We give patients aromatherapy and hand massages. Patients may also listen to therapeutic music through noise-canceling headphones to help put their minds at ease.

We Transport All Types of Patients

Our compassionate and specialized healthcare professionals give outstanding care to patients of all types and ages. We have special equipment onboard our aircraft for treating neonates and infants. Children, adults, and the elderly also obtain treatment unique to their age groups.

Unlike most air ambulance services, our services don’t prevent obese patients from receiving air ambulance service because our loading system and wider cargo doors assures the safe and easy loading and unloading of even the largest of patients.

Smooth-Riding Aircraft & First Class Interiors

Jets are what air ambulance companies need when they transport patients over 500 nautical miles because jets fly at faster speeds and at higher altitudes than other aircraft do. Quickly getting patients to the place they need to be to receive specific medical care is part of the overall goal when it comes to delivering proper medical care to air ambulance patients.

Needing the ability to transport patients long distances, AirCARE1 wisely chose a fleet of Learjets to transport our patients in. The Learjet is among the most efficient in the air ambulance industry as it can reach both domestic and international destinations quickly while eliminating or minimizing the need for refueling stops. Learjets fly even higher than commercial airliners do which reduces turbulence making for a smoother ride. In addition to being high-speed, high-flying jets, our Learjets use state-of-the-art Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) systems, which enable even smoother rides at high altitudes.

In the backdrop of all of the high-tech medical equipment and the extra-wide utilitarian door are luxurious interiors that rival first class travel on any commercial airline. First class interiors create a more comfortable and pleasant experience for both the patient and their loved one during transportation.
