The ‘bed-to bed’ service was amazing—both ambulance service personnel (Palm Springs and Virginia) were prompt, efficient, and very careful of my mother during the transport on and off the plane and at the facilities. I also appreciated that all the paperwork had been handled ahead of time by your company, making it possible for me to just concentrate on my mother’s well-being.

The EMT was impeccably attentive—no sooner did my mother make any indication of need than he was right there to make adjustments for her care and comfort. The RN, was equally knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. You may recall that my mother had been concerned that she would feel unduly anxious during the flight and need a sedative, but because of the high quality of your staff my mother’s level of comfort was never an issue, nor did she require any medication during the trip. It was clear to me right from the start that if anything had happened medically during the flight, my mother was in the best of hands.

She is now happily ensconced in a better facility than we could provide her in Palm Springs. My brother lives only fifteen minutes away and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren also live relatively close, much to her delight! I wish our entire health care system could be operated by AirCARE1. When my father at age 85 fell, and was sent by ambulance to a hospital in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, all we wanted for him was to air transfer him to a hospital near his home in Texas for his required surgery.

Not only were they extremely professional, efficient, communicative, but they got the job done on-time, same day and faster and more thorough than I could have hoped for, which is all you want when you are trying to air ambulance someone back. While on the only “vacation” she has ever taken, our mother suffered a debilitating stroke (in California). How in the world would we get her home to Kansas?! She was on oxygen, had a feeding tube, was mostly unresponsive and at risk for another stroke. AirCARE1 are real angels with wings! My wife’s health went south while on a cruise. It became apparent she wasn’t going to live much longer and we needed to get her home quickly. I called my cruise insurance company and they said a representative from AirCARE1 would call me to make arrangements. At this time, I’m in panic mode, emotional and wanted answers right away. I wasn’t sure how we were going to get from Alaska back to Arizona. A couple weeks have passed since my wife’s AirCARE1 flight from Puerto Vallarta to Portland. I’ve been meaning to write to you and express our thanks and tremendous satisfaction with the care that she received. The service is supreme. Fast jet, well equipped with two ace pilots in command and nurses watching and tending to my wife as we made our way north. There were eyes on her and the monitoring equipment every minute of the trip. When we reached our destination at PDX there was an ambulance waiting to transport us on to the hospital. They remained at her bedside for 30 or 40 minutes until they were sure that the transition from their care to the receiving hospital was smooth. AirCARE1 helped to save my partner’s life. While in Mexico, my partner, suffered a brain injury and had to have emergency surgery at a local hospital. He was put into one of only three ICU beds they had available. After seeing he was in stable condition but barely conscious, I began to worry about how we would get back home. I knew that he needed to get the best care as soon as possible in order to make a full recovery.

A mutual friend connected me to a representative from AirCARE1 and from the first phone conversation, I began to feel the fear lessen. For the next 24 hours I had phone calls with several employees from the company to help arrange a medical evacuation and every single one of them treated the situation as if I were a member of their family. I could sense their empathy and professionalism every conversation. They went above and beyond to arrange transport, even rescheduling the flight because the local airport had already closed!

Had no idea how I would get my wife moved from the mountains back to home for a much needed surgery. From the moment Valerie answered the first call from me, to Daniel and Rachel answering so many questions. Then Tom and Todd showed up to get my wife from point to point via airlift.  I cannot tell you all I went through to get to the point to have to call AirCARE1, but once I did they took over and solved a difficult problem for me.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Imagine getting the phone call telling you your 10 year old grandson has been bitten by a shark off the coast of Mexico.  Not even knowing the details about the extensive damage that he had suffered, our immediate instinct was that we needed to get him back home ASAP.  It’s Friday afternoon.  Where do we even start?  An internet search and one phone call to AirCare1 proved to be a Godsend.  Dan, the flight operations manager on duty, was so calm and reassuring about explaining the process of arranging the flight.  I must have called him 15 times because I would always think of one more question.  When he explained to me that we needed to get the Mexican hospital to agree to release Dillon and Children’s Hospital in Denver needed to agree to accept him before we could book the flight, my only thought was how am I ever going to do that?  As it turned out, I didn’t have to do that.  The team at AirCare1 did it all.. We got word the next morning the hospitals were in agreement, the ambulance in Mexico to pick him up and the ambulance in Colorado to deliver him were both booked, and the flight crew was ready.  Sunday was Dillon-Day, Dillon was coming home!  The medical personnel met the ambulance at the Cancun airport, picked Dillon up at the hospital and were with him every minute until he was delivered to Children’s.  How reassuring.  Even more reassuring was the communication from the team on the day of the flight, keeping us informed of the progress of the crew all day long, from takeoff at 6 am in Phoenix to arrival at Children’s Hospital that night, the communication was outstanding! Probably the biggest attribute of the team at AirCare1 was each team member was absolutely invested in getting Dillon home.  Dan, by his demeaner, took a huge burden off our shoulders.  By patiently and calmly explaining the process, we knew exactly what was necessary to get the plan in place.  Camber and Doug, the pilots, executed their mission flawlessly including cutting into the weather delay they experienced leaving Mexico to get Dillon home ASAP..   Jen, the flight nurse and Ryan, the paramedic, took such unbelievable care of Dillon. They got him comfortable, inspected his wounds, and prepared him for the planned triage in Denver.  Both were so attentive the whole time they were with him. What an incredible team Dillon had.  Everyone’s goal and focus was on him. Our family will be forever grateful to everyone at AirCare1 for their expertise and commitment to Dillon and our family.  Thank you all!!  You are the best!! Jim & Terrie Guiffre

Everything from beginning to the arrival was timely. Personal call informing me when my family member was safely on the plane and in the air and when they landed and he was transported safely to the hospital. We are so grateful to everyone at Air Care 1 for their professionalism and kindness in helping us get our dad out of Jamaica and back to Scottsdale—in less than 48 hrs. From the initial phone call and immediate action, to the thorough paperwork, contacting doctors, hospitals and the financial process, , everything was streamlined and efficient. Throughout the flight, they kept us updated on the condition of our dad through phone calls, emails and text messages as well as flight status every step of the way.
