Denise started AirCARE1 after seeing through her work as a flight nurse areas that could use improvement, including attention to patient care and safety improvements. After realizing that the companies she worked for wouldn’t change their practices, Denise decided the best solution was to start her own company. Now, AirCARE1 is proud to have an impeccable safety record and is at the forefront of industry standards for safety. Now with 3 based across the country, AirCARE1 uses a carefully selected, elite fleet of Learjets to transport patients comfortably and safely. From newborns to geriatric patients, the needs of many different patients are accounted for by AirCARE1.
Our Focus on Safety
Our fleet of aircraft consists entirely of Learjets, which are some of the safest aircraft in the industry. Because we operate using these smaller bodied jets, we can land in smaller regional airports to get you or your loved one as close to home or the destination medical facility as possible. With cruising speeds at over 500 mph, our jets quickly and comfortably get through difficult weather too.
For our two pilot crews, we hire only experienced pilots who are certified as Airline Transport Pilots (ATP.) Each of our pilots undergo a rigorous training process at one of the most prestigious flight academies in the country. This extensive and ongoing training is also applied to our flight staff.
When hired, our medical crew undergoes intense training that covers not only the usual medical emergency training, but also flight safety, and the unique challenges of administering care on an aircraft. As they continue to work for AirCARE1, staff train continuously on topics such as neurological care, pulmonary care, and pharmacology. This ongoing training keeps our staff sharp and up-to-date on the best practices in the medical field, while also ensuring excellent care.
Dual Accreditation
AirCARE1 holds CAMTS and EURAMI air ambulance accreditations. This dual accreditation is a rare accolade for air ambulance services and reflects our mission to set the bar high for patient care and safety.
CAMTS is an acronym for the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems. It is a nonprofit organization, based in South Carolina, that seeks to recognize medical transport companies around the world that abide by a stringent set of industry criteria.
The EURAMI certification also applies to medical transport companies. Like CAMTS, EURAMI certifications are granted to organizations in the United States and around the world. EURAMI, which is the European Aeromedical Institute, promotes quality medical transfers worldwide, which is accomplished through thorough training, research, and accreditation. EURAMI’s goal is to set uniform standards that companies will abide by to make each ride safe, comfortable, and smooth for patients.

State-of-the-Art Medical Equipment
AirCARE1 uses only state-of-the-art, age-specific medical equipment including monitors, ventilators and pumps. Our air ambulances are flying critical care units. You will receive the same care onboard our aircraft as you would receive in a hospital setting. So as not to disrupt care or the flow of information from monitors, we also secure monitors with brackets attached to the stretchers so that the monitors do not move during loading or unloading or during the flight.
