Whether requiring critical air ambulance transfer or a timely medical air transport, AirCARE1 offers the right solution for specialized care from across the Northeast US.
Your Loved Ones Are In Safe Hands
Two primary transport options can be explored based on the patient’s medical condition:
1. For patients in critical condition that need a higher level of care including continuous monitoring, an air ambulance flight will be the transportation of choice.
2. Patients who are in non-critical, stable conditions that can travel on a commercial airliner, have the option to be attended to by a qualified medical escort. For stable patients who need to lie flat during transport, stretchers may be provided on a commercial flight, typically only on international carriers.
Our medical team will evaluate the patient’s medical status and review the options with you to help determine the safest and most cost-effective solution for you and your loved one. Questions are always welcomed as we help facilitate the necessary transport.
Once you have determined the safest transportation mode, a detailed, all-inclusive quote can be provided. When you call AirCARE1 or fill out our online quote form, your request will be answered quickly by one of our knowledgeable and compassionate flight specialists.

Air Ambulance Quote
An AirCARE1 Air Ambulance quote covers aircraft operations, two pilots, a two-person critical care medical team (including a nurse, paramedic or respiratory therapist), ground transportation on both ends, and all fees required for the transport (international airport fees, customs, etc.).
Medical Escort Quote
An AirCARE1 Medical Escort quote includes all commercial airline ticket purchases, transfers, ground transportation to and from the airport, as well as an AirCARE1 medical crew member with appropriate equipment for the transport. Our flight specialists are highly trained in arranging tickets on reputable airlines with the least amount of connections, and we take care of the family member’s ticketing as well. For increased comfort, patients fly business class on all legs of the flight.
From the start, your AirCARE1 flight specialist will take care of all the details in order to facilitate a smooth flight.
Once a decision has been made to transport your loved one you will receive a simple form to provide any important information (medical, insurance, payment, etc.) needed to move forward with the flight. This paperwork will be sent to the patient or family member.
Once the flight is booked, we provide a comprehensive itinerary that includes bedside patient pickup time, approximate departure time at the sending location, flight time enroute, fuel/customs stops, and arrival time at receiving location as well as any luggage requirements.
Prior to our launch, theAirCARE1 nurse will receive a report from the sending facility. All of the patient’s needs will be re-assessed and discussed at that time to ensure a successful flight.
Our communications team is known in the industry for providing constant communication updates to our patients and family members throughout the process. We do this so you feel comfortable and relaxed to be able to solely focus your energy on your loved one.
Bedside to Bedside Service: Once we get the go ahead from the sending and receiving facilities our team will go to the patient’s bedside. Bedside-to-bedside service is so important, as we know this provides the best continuity of care for the patient. Our custom-designed patient transport system is equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring and therapeutic systems to ensure safe, high-quality transport for patients of all need levels.
Transportation: We arrange all ground transportation to and from each airport and make courtesy calls to the facilities when enroute while providing updates to everyone involved. The patient and family member are taken to the aircraft via ground ambulance, accompanied by the AirCARE1 medical crew, and transferred onto one of our company owned Learjet 35A/36A or Learjet 60 via our proprietary loading ramp. These executive quality aircraft allow our patients to fly in a pleasant medical ICU environment.
If using our medical air escort services, patients are taken to a commercial airport via ground transportation and accompanied by our medical crew member through the whole travel process; airport security, boarding, flights, etc.
Superior Care: Our highly qualified and experienced medical team continuously monitors the patient’s condition throughout the flight and takes any required action to assure their medical well-being and comfort. For added comfort, each patient is offered the opportunity to listen to therapeutic music on noise canceling headsets while receiving therapeutic hand massages with aromatherapy as well as the ability to watch in-flight movies when patient condition permits. These amenities are part of our signature holistic methods to reduce patient stress during the flight.
The flight crew, medical team, equipment, procedures, supplies, and medical data are fully integrated into an AirCARE1 proprietary system to assure accurate, efficient, and reliable enroute medical care. This proprietary combination of medically skilled personnel, on-board critical care equipment, and Holistic practices provides unprecedented peace of mind for the point of origin medical staff, the patient, the patient’s family, and receiving hospital personnel.
Upon arrival the patient is transferred to the receiving facility by the AirCARE1 medical team, and a comprehensive report is given to the healthcare provider to allow for continuity of care.
Once care has been transferred at the receiving facility, AirCARE1 will follow up with all parties for loop closure.
