About AirCARE1

Denise Waye, president and founder of AirCARE1, began her career as a critical care nurse and gained over 10 years of first hand patient care experience in that role. As an experienced critical care nurse, Denise saw that many patients needed specialized care which was not available locally and became interested in the medical transportation patient care.

With a love for both patient care as well as travel, Denise was able to land a job as a critical care nurse on an air ambulance; Denise’s former employer. As Denise worked for this air ambulance company, she saw various opportunities for improvement in patient care and presented these to her former boss. As time went by, Denise’s ideas and attempts to improve operations fell by the wayside and it was then she knew it was time to take matters into her own hands. With her passion, skills, and experience Denise founded AirCARE1 to make sure that patients received the highest quality of care while being transported via an air ambulance.

Since AirCARE launched over a decade ago, the company has expanded and now owns and operates a fleet of medically configured Learjets out of two bases in the United States. AirCARE1 has successfully transported many patients to and from Lima over the years and is able to transport patients throughout South America to destinations across the globe.

Our Commitment to Safety

At AirCARE1, we are committed to providing safe medical transportation for every patient that we transport. We have an experienced team of pilots and medical experts that have been trained to handle any situation that may arise during the flight. Our commitment to deliver high-quality services anchors on the following three elements:

• Extensive and Continuous Training: All of our team members at AirCARE1 are required to undergo extensive training which includes ongoing monthly training programs to ensure they stay up to date on the ever changing world of patient care.
• Processes & Procedures: With over a decade of experience and having transported thousands of patients with a perfect safety record, we rely on a set of detailed processes and procedures to ensure every flight is safe. With ongoing training around these processes and procedures, we are able to ensure our staff are capable of handling any situation that may arise.
• Safest Aircrafts: The Learjet aircrafts we use have exception safety records which is one of the primary reasons we chose the Learjets for our fleet. In addition, we have outfitted these aircrafts with a variety of customized medical equipment that ensures every aspect of the patient’s journey is as safe as possible.

At AirCARE1, we are committed to transforming the manner in which patients are transported. At the forefront of this commitment is our continued focus on setting the bar for the highest air ambulance safety standards.

Dual Accreditation

AirCARE1 is dually accredited by both the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) and the European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI). Dual accreditation is a rarity in the air ambulance industry and demonstrates our commitment to offering the highest level of safety and patient care standards. Both of these organizations are the two leading accreditation bodies in our industry and require all accredited providers to follow and maintain a set of standards that are unmatched in the industry. Our dual accreditation demonstrates the high level of commitment we have to providing our patients with the best medical transportation and care available.

Our Focus on Holistic Care

As a leader in the air ambulance industry, we take a very unique approach to the treatment of our patients by combining holistic care with traditional medical care. Whereas most air ambulance providers focus one specific injury or illness, we understand that treating the patient as a whole is critical to their successful recovery. We aim to reduce stress and anxiety for our patients during travel through the use of a variety of holistic treatment methods including noise cancelling headphones, therapeutic music, hand massages and aromatherapy. This level of personal touch with our patients allows them remain calm and relaxed throughout the flight.

Catering to All Types of Patients

Patients from all walks of life and ages can trust our experienced medical staff and pilots who are highly trained to care for patients with all types of different medical conditions. Before every flight, our team of medical transportation experts will work with you to match our team of medical flight staff to the patient’s specific situation and condition to ensure you are in the most capable of hands. Additionally, we work to ensure that the aircraft chosen is outfitted with any specific medical equipment that may be needed for the patient. We have both the experience and equipment to transport all types of patients including the following:

• Neonatal (Infants)
• Pediatric (children)
• Adults
• Geriatric (Elderly)
• Bariatric (Obese)

State of the Art Medical Equipment

When it comes to medical equipment, AirCARE1 uses the best equipment available to ensure we are prepared to treat all types of different condition. We utilize continuous monitoring equipment from bedside to bedside to ensure that the patient is in a stable condition the entire time they are under our care. Below is some of the state-of-the-art medical equipment that we use:

Patient Care System – Whenever we transfer patients, we put them in our proprietary LifePort patient care system where they are comfortably maintained and monitored until they are again transferred to their receiving bed at their destination. Our patient care system offers a safe and comfortable transport environment that is designed to preserve the patient’s strength and energy.

Monitoring Medical Equipment – Our critical care equipment provides the greatest level of uninterrupted monitoring ability even for the most critical and fragile patients. For detailed patient monitoring, we use the following equipment:

• Zoll Propaq MD Monitor
• Alaris Pumps
• LTV 1200Veintilator

For infant patient monitoring, we use:

• Cross Vent 2i Ventilator
• Neonate Isollete
• Medfusion Pumps

Patient Loading Utility System – When loading or unloading patients into our air ambulance, we use a patient care loading ramp system. It is well designed and customized to make the loading process fast, comfortable, and safe for our patients. This loading system helps to prevent wobbling, tilting, and tipping during the loading or unloading process. Moreover, the loading door is wider as compared to most aircraft doors to ensure the loading and unloading process is easier and safer.

Enhanced Comfort and a Smoother Ride

At AirCARE1, we strive to offer the best quality of care for our patients using the right personnel, the right equipment, and a positive attitude. To ensure the comfortable transport for our patients, we provide critical care nurses, physicians and paramedics that are focused on compassionate care for you or your loved one.

To ensure a smoother ride to your destination, the Learjet aircraft we use are designed to fly at the same altitude flown by commercial airlines which reduces turbulence and provides for a smoother ride for the patient. Our aircraft are also outfitted with luxurious interiors similar to that found in first class which provides for a more peaceful and pleasant environment for the patient.

Commercial Medical Escort Service

At AirCARE1, we also offer commercial medical escort solutions to our patients that are able to fly on a commercial airline, but need medical assistance on the flight. If you or your loved one is interested in learning more about our our private air ambulance transport services, contact us today!
