Jets are pressurized aircraft. It is safest for the patient being transported over long distances to fly in a pressurized cabin. Many patient conditions require pressurization. Small Turboprops may not have pressurized cabins, but all AirCARE1 aircraft have pressurized cabins.

We fully utilize Learjet aircraft for our Air Ambulance transports. The LearJet is a small business jet most suitable for air ambulance missions. It is a cost-effective aircraft that can transport patients quickly to their destinations. Other aircraft are used in the air ambulance industry as well, but jets should be used if going more than 500 miles to their destination.
