Denise Waye, president and founder of AirCARE1, began her career as a critical care nurse and gained over 10 years of first hand patient care experience in that role. As an experienced critical care nurse, Denise saw that many patients needed specialized care which was not available locally and became interested in the medical transportation patient care.
With a love for both patient care as well as travel, Denise was able to land a job as a critical care nurse on an air ambulance; Denise’s former employer. As Denise worked for this air ambulance company, she saw various opportunities for improvement in patient care and presented these to her former boss. As time went by, Denise’s ideas and attempts to improve operations fell by the wayside and it was then she knew it was time to take matters into her own hands. With her passion, skills, and experience Denise founded AirCARE1 to make sure that patients received the highest quality of care while being transported via an air ambulance.
Since AirCARE launched over a decade ago, the company has expanded and now owns and operates a fleet of medically configured Learjets out of two bases in the United States.
