About AirCARE1

AirCARE1 came about from Denise Waye’s passion of taking care of critical patients and her love of flying. Being a nurse by profession she had worked in critical care departments before taking to the skies as a flight nurse.

During her stint as a flight nurse, she became aware of some significant safety issues experienced in the air. However, when she brought the issues to the attention of her employer, the management did not want to make any changes to improve the safety of the patients and crew during air transport.

It was then when she decided to start her own air ambulance service after joining hands with other people with the same vision of offering quality air ambulance services. They combined their expertise and experiences to offer the best air ambulance services to patients.

These qualities combined with honesty, exceptional customer service and diligence enables AirCARE 1 to provide excellent services to all the patients and accompanying family members.

How We Work

We have put in place procedures to ensure that every requirement in the flight is catered for before the start of the flight and that we are prepared for any unforeseeable circumstances.

Once you contact us through our phone number or make an online inquiry, our team will respond and provide an all-inclusive quote in about half an hour. Once we are in agreement about the price, our teams will coordinate all the aspects of the flight including the time of the flight, where to land, in-flight food, and logistics among other things.

Once everything is set, the air medical team will arrive at the medical facility where the patient is and will transfer him or her into the Learjet aircraft. They may start or continue with any treatment that is required to keep the patient’s condition stable during the flight until he or she reaches the destination.

Enhanced Comfort and a Smoother Ride

The first-class interiors of our Learjets are designed to ensure enhanced safety and comfort to our patients. Our choice of Learjet 35 provides enough interior space, it is less noisy and has an excellent safety record. It is recommended that patients being transported over 500 nautical miles be flown in a jet aircraft. Jets travel at faster speeds and higher altitudes than other types of aircraft. They also have fewer fueling stops which reduce discomfort to the patient.

We travel at higher altitudes above the commercial airline routes to ensure a smoother ride. At these attitudes, the aircraft experiences less turbulence, therefore, cutting down on wobbling during the flight.

We have special padded beds, 100 percent oxygen on board, and special patient care systems to enhance the comfort of the patient.
