About AirCARE1

AirCARE1 was founded by a critical care nurse named Denise Waye. She wanted to create a medical air transport service that held the highest standard for patient safety and comfort. AirCARE1 was built to provide patients with a quick way to get the very best medical care available. The mission of AirCARE1 keep patients as our top priority: “Do what is right for our patient at all times as we transport them with exceptional care equal to or better than the best premier medical facility.”

How AirCARE1 Works

AirCARE1 makes it easy to fly to or from Nevada so that patients can receive the medical attention they need. It all starts with requesting a quote and providing patient information such as where you will be going, when, and your medical situation. From here, the quote that is provided by AirCARE1 covers everything from the aircraft costs to the crew. We will also work directly with your insurance provider to ensure that any coverage of costs is outlined up front during the quote process. On the day of the flight, medical information is given to the flight nurse and the crew comes to the patient’s bedside so they are properly loaded onto a stretcher and then into the aircraft. Patients are given bedside to bedside care by a flight nurse and any other medical staff that the patient requires based on their condition. Any required medications are handled and the crew makes sure that the flight is as comfortable as possible.

Safety is Our Top Priority

AirCARE1 owns all of the Learjets we operate for our air ambulance service. We have our own 135 Air Carrier Certificate and have maintained a perfect safety record for the thousands of patients that have flown with us. All of our aircraft are regularly inspected and serviced to make sure they are ready for patients. Staff are trained to properly transport all types of patients: from infants to bariatric patients. Only the most experienced pilots are hired and are certified by the Airline Transport Pilots (ATP). Our pilots receive ongoing training so that patients never have to worry about their care or transport.

Highly Trained Medical Team

Safety and care are at the forefront of AirCARE1’s mission. All medical care we provide is specialized to the individual. Our staff members have constant training so they are up-to-date with the latest healthcare practices, tools, and regulations. Our qualified medical staff have many years of experience which includes nurses, therapists, and physicians which are all on staff. Our Medical Director at AirCARE1 has over 20 years of emergency room experience and oversees all of AirCARE1’s flights. Once hired, AirCARE1 staff are trained in everything from assessment and aircraft safety to HAZMAT and basic skills. They also continue their training with monthly education focused on a range of topics from trauma to flight regulations. This ensures that patients have the best care and that staff are updated on the latest procedures, skills, equipment, and tools.

Dual Accreditation

AirCARE1 is proud to be recognized as an industry leader and innovator that is committed to safety and excellence. AirCARE1 has the rare distinction of being accredited by both the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) and the European Air Medical Institute (EURAMI). We maintain both of these leading air ambulance accreditations to ensure that we adhere to the highest level of patient standards.

Holistic Care Treatment

AirCARE1 employees do more than simply monitor and assess patients. Instead, they are trained to provide holistic and specialized care. By making medical transport comfortable, patients are better able to recover and relax. After all, if someone is battling an accident, chronic disease, or some other issue, stress can aggravate and worsen their condition. AirCARE1 staff are trained in holistic care practices that make transport comfortable. For example, employees focus on aromatherapy, noise-canceling headphones, and hand massages to relieve tension and stress. Additionally, the Learjets are built to be comfortable so that patients even forget they are in the air. Other amenities like comfortable beds and seats set apart this Nevada air ambulance service.

By lowering stress and anxiety, medical care can be much more effective. Holistic care methods reduce pain and other symptoms and make it easier for people to recover. Families love that AirCARE1 is as focused on mental and emotional health as it is on physical health. AirCARE1 staff are also trained to understand the impact trauma has on both the patient and their loved ones. We are a different kind of air ambulance service that is inclusive and supportive.

Serving All Patient Types

AirCARE1 is trained to work with a wide range of patients. For example, staff understand how to work with infants, children, adults, and the elderly. Additionally, employees understand the specific needs of patients with allergies, disabilities, and more. After you receive your quote, the AirCARE1 staff will ask questions so they can best serve you. This enhances care and ensures staff are ready for all of your needs. Our medical staff understand how to manage patients with on-going medical issues like diabetes or asthma, and they are sensitive during assessments to make you feel comfortable and listened to. By knowing patients’ needs, AirCARE1 can best serve and support them while removing any stigmas or worries people may have.

State-of-the-Art Equipment

AirCARE1 uses the latest medical equipment. The transport time to a hospital, doctor, or other healthcare facility is important. Thus, staff have on-going training in the latest medical tools on the market. Excellent care is important to patients and to AirCARE1. For example, once a patient is on one of our Learjets, they are moved from the stretcher or bed to AirCARE1’s Lifeport Patient Care System. Staff are trained on how to safely and comfortably move people so that they are not bumped or hurt. Our Learjets’ doors are designed to be wider so that loading and unloading patients and equipment is easier. The latest equipment is on board and regularly checked for quality: everything from the Zoll Propaq MD Monitor and Alaris Pumps to Medfusion Pumps for neonate patients.

Smooth & Comfortable Transportation

Traditional ambulances are confined by space and logistics. They do not always feel comfortable. AirCARE1 is committed to comfort, which is why we provide first-class transport, which relieves a lot of stress and anxiety. Our Learjets are designed with beautiful interiors and various features to make you feel at ease while flying. After all, medical issues are stressful enough. Because of the Learjets design, our pilots are able to fly at higher altitudes, which reduces turbulence. With the experienced staff and the range of services offered by AirCARE1, you can count on a smooth and comfortable flight.
